Yeah sugar is addictive.. and so are some of the other chemicals in chocolate like theobrine (also in coffee and tea!)

Moderation is key - I just try not to buy any, and if I do I get a small bar because I can't stop at one chunk of a big bar.

I don't see an issue with them unless you're trying to break records or win races. They keep both you and your bike clean, with minimal downsides. What's not to love, especially on dirty British roads!

Rouleur is my absolute favourite, and by far the most beautiful to read. Other then that I also read Cycling Plus, but to be honest I find it a bit bland and samey.

You know, with chocolate, as with any pleasant thing: the less often it is present in life, the more pleasure it brings! For example, now I watch my weight (biking, playing ping-pong with these paddles https://pingpongacademy.org/best-ping-pong-paddles/#product_3 and working out in the gym help me) and keep a calorie deficit, and eat chocolate once or twice a week, and it seems to taste even better.

Seen a lovely 1950s/early 60s 531 track bike frame with a particular personal attraction. Being a certain age I do not want a track or fixie. Frame has horizontal rear drop outs (closed ends closest to the chain stays, open ends facing rear) but have been told no way could it be converted to a classic 5 speed rear block. Whenever I am told NO I tend to be more determined ! I have converted a classic road frame to take modern 9/10 speed (basically by having the rear triangle cold stretched wider) so I can't see why the track frame can't be stretched to take a 5 block. Could an old school bolt on derailleur hanger be fitted to the rear dropout ? Would like to hear from anyone who has done this conversion - or can provide any sage advice. Thanks chaps !

While agreeing with most. perhaps all. the criticisms of the comic for the past number of years I hsve stuck with it and in the past six monthis discern a big return to domestic coverage and interesting innovations. Perhaps the new acting editor Simon Richardson appointed a few weeks ago, can take the credit.
