Roche Sports Ltd, the company behind the succesful titanium bike manufacturer Sabbath Bicycles, has announced it has become the UK distributor for leading European wheel brand, Sonic Wheels. Sonic Wheels is the third largest wheel brand by volume in the European Cycling heartland of Belgium and France. Established in 2006, the same years as Sabbath Bicycles, Sonic is a young brand with exceptional products and competitive prices to the UK market. All products come with a three year warranty and there are no maximum rider weight limits, as experienced with other leading wheel manufacturers.

Roche Sports Ltd will be importing five models into the UK that will meet the increasing needs of recreational, sportive and racing cyclists. The All Road (£399), Paris Roubaix (£625), C-Max (£699), Ultra 33mm (£990), Super 38mm (£990), Hyper 50mm (£990) and Mega 85mm (£1290) models will also appear throughout the extended 2010 Sabbath Bicycles range; further proving the confidence Roche Sports Ltd has in the products. All Sonic Wheels are genuine hand built items from Belgium and most of the range comes complete with wheel bags, skewers, and for carbon products, valve extenders and cork brake pads. Full technical spares are also available from Roche Sports Ltd.

It will be the first time Sonic Wheels have been distributed in the UK and Roche Sports Ltd Director Greg Roche is excited about the products on offer: “Sonic Wheels have done exceptionally well on the continent because they’ve offered a variety of competitive and reliable wheels that meet the needs of cyclists, regardless of their competitiveness.”

He continued: “The All Road model are a great and well-priced offering for consumers looking for a reliable pair of summer wheels, or for cyclists looking to upgrade from their entry-level wheels that have come on bikes as standard. While the Paris Roubaix predictably caters for serious sportive and racing cyclists looking for robust wheels they can trust and use to meet their season targets.”

Adding: “The C-Max model follows the current trend for ceramic bearing quality. Meanwhile, Sonic’s carbon rimmed Ultra (33mm rim depth, 1150g/pair), Super (38mm rim depth, 1270g/pair) and Mega (85mm rim depth 1720g/pair) wheels are all available in both clincher and tubular versions. The clincher/tubular options and differences in rim depth in the carbon range will allow for discerning cyclists to be specific in their wheel choices.”

The UK range of Sonic Wheels will be available through leading retailers carrying the Sabbath bikes range immediately.
