The new, radical, performance-led designs of the 2010 Sabbath Bicycles range is now fully available through Sabbath’s retail partners in the UK. Three newly designed models, the Silk Emperor, Silk Road Pro and Silk Road Alp all make use of the new wave titanium technology. Through a unique cold working process, the technology has allowed Sabbath’s Technical Director, Dr Iain Roche, to use thinner tube walls and create larger weld areas without heat damage, thus reducing weight while increasing stiffness.

The result is a radical looking set of frames which will be provide a superior ride quality to seasoned racers, active sportivists and amateur enthusiasts.

Heading up the range is Sabbath’s new top-of-the-line Silk Emperor. The top offering is available only with fully custom geometry and features the new titanium technology in all its glory, with its distinctive one piece pierced top tube and wishbone seat stay design. The racy Emperor model also offers pin point handling because of its CNC machined, integrated 6AL/4V head tube. What’s more is that it’s one of the very few titanium bikes to employ the new BB30 bottom bracket standard. The Silk Emperor frameset is £3300 RRP, and complete bike builds start from £4999.

The Silk Road Pro is designed with speed in mind. Sharing many of the features of the Silk Emperor, the performance geometry will be just as home in a stage race as it will be in helping you to get a PB on your favourite sportive course. The double butted 3AL/2.5V frame consists of cold worked seamless titanium, and the New Wave top and down tube enlarges the effective weld areas, thus increasing lateral stiffness. The Silk Road Pro is available in five standard sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) and a custom fit option is available. The Silk Road Pro frame is £1799 RRP, and complete bike builds start from £3500.

The Silk Road Alp is a brand new for Sabbath and builds on the formula of the hugely succesful Silk Road model. It’s designed for day long comfort, and as the name suggests, features geometry perfectly suited to demanding terrain. Through use of the New Wave technology, the 3AL/2.5V double butted tubeset is 200g lighter than the classic Silk Road frameset. There’s no compromise in comfort, however, with custom formed thin-wall seatstays that give refined rider comfort, without compromising handling. The Silk Road Alp frame is £1350 RRP, and complete bike builds start from £2999.

All Sabbath frames are available in five standard sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) as well as a custom fit option. All new 2010 models in the Sabbath Bicycles range are available in three frame finishes; Satin Matt (comes as standard), Bright Brush (semi-polished) and Mirror Polish (polished, so much you can see your face in it). There are also a whole variety of tailored graphics and branded components to customise the rider’s frame choice.
