I'm curious. Have been accustomed to at least half a bottle most nights, if not a full one, but have stopped almost completely (and don't miss it). I gave up cycling around the same time - about 5 weeks ago, but I run now instead. I've lost 4 kgs in that time; BMI is now 18.7. Is it really just the not drinking? I'm astounded. Nothing else has changed substantially other than substituting 30 miles a day on the bike for the equivalent of a 30 minute run.

Sounds like Alki McC's area of expert knowledge. Where is he?

Is that all? That's interesting though, as that would be around 4000 less a week, which would be enough to make the diff between sustaining and losing over a week. Ta; mystery solved, I think!

How hurtful.

Actually, Royston is more expert here, being a daily wine drinker.
