There are no crashes on this Tour. Only MASSIVE CRASHES!

Perfectly demonstrated on yesterday's stage when the lone Bauke Mollema(?) took a trip into the bushes on the final descent to Pinerolo and one of them instinctively exclaimed "Oh there's been a MASSIVE crash!"

That's what they're called in much of europe, but why they'd call them that in a commentary for Anglophones (and Yanks), I don't know.

Moments ago; I'm reasonably certain he said it but it's so banal I'm not sure I believe it.

Ligget: "It's fair to say whoever wins on Sunday will be the true winner of the Tour de France."

(I think he means will be a truly deserving winner or something.)

Ligget - todays time trial is only 43km, it's usually 55km.

Ligget reminded of Duffers yesterday when he couldn't grasp the time differences between the leading riders and at one stage thought Contador might be going to make the Podium.

Off on a bit of a tangent but did anyone else hear Sean Kelly say "alicol" instead of alcohol on the Alpe D' Huez stage? Smile

They had a littlte tiff yesterday. Phil was having a dig at Paul's cycling prowess when Paul sounded a little hurt and pointed did alright in the sprint in a second group finnishing in Paris. Realising Paul was a little put out Phil admitted that he loved him and wanted to give him a hug and a kiss.

Bless.

Very Happy

Bump. This thread still reads perfectly sensibly even though it's 12 months out of date.

"Chris Froome is the cat in the box on Team Sky". Confused .

This thread is ever pertinent and will live on until the end of time.
