Shame. I figured Herby R Clown, alter ego of an eminent VR. |
Well you're probably not far wrong!

Perhaps that should be "informed" rather than educated! |

Without doubt its the best magazine on the market. It far out does any of the European publications that I have cotributed to over the years. It may sound expensive due to the lousy exchange rate at the moment, but I consider it money well spent.

I say, old chap, Waitrose
Mind you, even our local Co-op now has the comic on it's shelves.
Alan *CENSORED* turned it (the comic) around in the 60s, Martin Ayres' reign wasn't too bad but Sutcliffe was the pits and the present regime are not interested in the domestic scene at all.
Admittedly most news and results can be found on line but a well written report on a race with one or two pics can be treasured.

While agreeing with most. perhaps all. the criticisms of the comic for the past number of years I hsve stuck with it and in the past six monthis discern a big return to domestic coverage and interesting innovations. Perhaps the new acting editor Simon Richardson appointed a few weeks ago, can take the credit.
Take longer to peruse it the next time you visit your favourite supermarket. I have always maintained my subscription since I started my journalist career there as a trainee rather a long time ago. But there were a number of years when I told myself I was buying rubbish. |

This does what the classic Cycling Weekly did but better.

Would be good if it championed the TT scene a bit more. |

I'm glad to hear this. I might give it a shot again if that's the case. Canceled my sub ages ago.

Rouleur is my absolute favourite, and by far the most beautiful to read. Other then that I also read Cycling Plus, but to be honest I find it a bit bland and samey. _________________ Passionate cyclists, and administrator of https://velo.chat |
