Don't own a ss, but have a tightish full zip long sleeve shirt, so shorts & shirt.
Nowhere to put your car-keys in a ss.

all the top riders both domestic and international appear to wear skinsuits but as for the reasoning I don't know.
I guess thinking about it - what's the need for a s/s jersey with pockets in an hour's race where you don't even need a bottle cage or bottle on your bike?

I hang my car keys off an old nappy pin, that I then pin inside my skinsuit, with another safety pin as well just in case the nappy pin comes off. It did once, at the end of a TT. The keys started slipping down my shorts & I was able to grab them as they fell out the bottom of my shorts.

skin suit - no pockets to fill up with "CENSORED" mud off the back wheel. No baggy bits to snag on trees/bike/obstacles

unless you've put in a bit of weight then wearing a skin suit can lead to mental scarring when photos appear on miscellaneous websites....... i'm using jersey and shorts these days!

Ive had skinsuits made from impsport and if you ask they put a little flap on the back, just enough for a bar and gel and its so tight nothing falls out either.

I dont think it cost anymore.

if i had the body i d be wearing one for all cross races. no need for pockets or jerseys flapping in the wind !!!
