So what excuse can I use for going round in over 8 hours?

That's it, I was waiting on my mates who had their numbers on the hangies slowing them down!

Oh I see. That's why you're featured on Andrew Kennedy's web-site. All those riders he couldn't identify. Wink

mattyw did you go round in 8 hours?

if so blame traffic jams at feed stations, looking for a bin on hardknott to put your energy bar wrapper in, or dropping something at the bottom of wrynose and having to go back down and get it.

Yeah 8;26

I'll just blame my mates, they held me back like always, I'd be a world beater if I had some fast mates to ride with! (hope they don't come on here and read this!)

Will tell you after this Sunday Very Happy . I know I should have it on my bars but my legs hurt enough without getting cut up by catching them on the edges of the number

Nice one, good luck....your legs wont get caught on the number as it goes on the front, there is noway you could catch your legs on it, as you would bash your legs on the bars first!!
Let us know how you get on.
