For as long as I can remember (11 years at least) I've always worn white Giro helmet and white Oakleys (Mumbos or M frames).
Now I've currently got a Giro Pneumo but after 2 years of moderate to heavy use I reckon it's time to upgrade, but what to?
Logic dictates the Atmos but I am swayed by the looks of the Bell Sweep. Looks similar, looks 'racey' but is it much cop?
At the moment the Sweep is winning because of cost (wiggle knocking them out for £72) but would I be better off just paying that bit more and sticking with what I know?

I think Giro and Bell use the same basic head measurements.

So for you its down purely how bling it looks.

As I have not sense of fashion or style I won't comment any further Embarassed

Bell and giro pretty much made by the same people.

They are in the same order catalogue.

Bell sweep for me in white and silver, bit cheaper really cool and a bit different. I've got one and think its cool

I might get a sweep for next season. I got a ghisallo and its a nice lid, the sweep being next one up.

Also the new Met Strad looks pretty good.

I've used a Bell Sweep for the last two seasons after upgrading from a Pnuemo. Great helmet, easiest to adjust I've ever owned, although at first I felt it was over ventilated. Also a bit less Chavy than Giro these days with Tranter using one Laughing

The Atmos doesnt fit the same as the Pneumo. The sweep is more like the pneumo in fit.

The bell sweep is comfy and the roc-loc type system is IMO better than the Giro one.

If you look out on ebay you could prob pick up a new atmos for about £100. I am on my second atmos (crash replacement for £50) and am very pleased with it, although they are very popular / common.

Having watched some of the Fly6 videos, I have become very focused on safety. EN1078 certified lids are really not that special. ATSM is the next best level. I ride with Specialized lids as they are Snell B90/95 certified - Bell and Gyro opted out of this standard as it was too hard to achieve.
