Are they illegal for road races? I know Spinergys are, but they have flat spokes with very sharp edges. The Xentis spokes look to be rounded off. I hope they're ok for the road and for Gran Fondos 'cos I wouldn't mind a pair to replace my aging Spinergy Rev X's.

Yes they are illegal for RR's as they have less than 12 spokes, however, Gran Fondos aren't road races are they!

Have you ridden one? The one I rode in June seemed like a road race to me! Smile Shocked Seriously, Italians will ask if you are riding the "race" and you do need a BC or other UCI racing licence. I don't think I'll take the chance; I wouldn't want to travel all the way to Italy and be denied a start

Shame though, Kysriums just aren't eye-catching enough and i can't afford Lightweights.
