www.cyclingnews.com reports today that Jorg Jaksche claims that Bjarne Riis threatened him not to implicate others in any doping confessions. Riis denies this. Who do you believe?

I'd trust Riis as far as I could throw you, Guy. Wink

I really think that discraced riders running teams should not be allowed. One reason riders don't speak out is that their riding careers are short, but, if they can stay in the sport its a good pension and they don't want to give it up.

It would be a short list of riders running teams then! which begs the question who would run teams.

'Pat McQuaid has a somewhat brighter look on the doping problems in pro cycling than various commentators as well as former riders. On Monday evening McQuaid said, that he believes the days of organized doping in cycling are over, and that doping violations today is an individual matter for some riders.

This statement made Jörg Jaksche roll his eyes and respond with a smile.

”Maybe I have just been unlucky, because I have been on six teams, and on all six there has been organized doping,” Jaksche said.'

Did McQuaid really say that, or was he just quoting Verbruggen during the aftermath of the Festina affair Question Confused
