Glued on and pumped up........... not a chance.

Blow out central from the splits in the carcass, if he even manages to get it to fold in the first place.

He'll probably go for a soft compound wired on solid tyre as it would have to be deflated and re-inflated every time it went down and back up to shape if it were a clincher or tub. That's probably a bigger challenge than the designing of the folding bits.

kind of defeats the object of designing a folding wheel for better performance though Laughing

Cyclist's were early adopters of the technology of sending messages using a finger in the air, often used at speeding motorist's Laughing

Brilliant idea but, as already pointed out, lots of work still to do!

I can see it having much more success with folding wheelchairs than for bikes as athletic performance isn't an issue for most users and solid tyres are already commonplace.
