as it happens (now then now then, jewellery jewellery jingle jangle) yes i have.

have seen a GP once in my life who performed acupuncture on a very stiff point smack between my shoulder blades gained after being driven into whilst riding. the results - surprisingly to me - were instant. almost as if the pressure in a balloon was being released in my back. it has never bothered me since either.

I did acupuncture twice to get rid of my stiff shoulder muscles. It was surprisingly good and effective too, the little stitches. Would do it again.

They've been using it in China for quite some time, thousands of years.

I have a friend which is doctor for traditional Chinese medicine. Acupunctue is his dayli business – he told me that this method is very useful but, tbh, I don't believe in this – its like a placebo http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/03/110324104147.htm
