I'm sure there was a long article on it, in the comic, a year or two ago.

Did it? According to the consultant surgery is no lasting solution, problem comes back after a few years. So how long ago did those two have surgery, and are they still competing?

Anybody knows how long recovery from surgery takes? Given that it's a pretty major bit of surgery.

Paul Oldhams I think was 4-5 years. The year before the Cyclo Cross at Mackworth. Rob I think took a few months off.

Tried to find the article but no luck so far. It was a case study, fairly in-depth and technical for the comic.

No worries. I have heard from a couple of people now, and the consultant was very good too.

There was some South American or South African pro who bled to death after surgery. Don't want to put a downer on things though.
