Does the SPD-L have a 0 degree cleat like the SPD-R? My problem is i have the Dura Ace SPD-Rs and R215 shoes and if anyones seen the adaptors fitted to the shoe to run the SPD-R system you'd laugh your head off!!!

Afew pop up here and there on ebay and i just purchased 2 sets of fixed cleats from a bike shop(keep 1 set as a spare). There is also a set of Ultegra SPD-Rs at a local shop for sale. What stinks is that the SPD-Rs are dearer to buy than the SPD-Ls!!! Do a search on google and afew shops should come up.

This is true. They do two versions: nice or nasty. Have't seen them on a bike though.

The cleats are slightly different im told.....could not make it 100% compatable,i do not think they now have a licence to make spd-r as too expensive.

the frogplay (or whatever they're called, you know the ones where the spring's attached to yer foot) are meant to be good. but are also about £150 a pair Confused i use LOOK, but then i'm hardly putting them under any pressure so it doesn't matter much.

I am double checking BUT rumour has it they never got mass produced, due to the cleat andthe big ££$$ of the licence..?but as i say unconfirmed and i will work on it.

The Ritchey SPDR is still made and is a really nice pedal. The Titanium version never was made. These retail about £99. the pairs we had used a shimano cleat.
