Having read a lot of the posts on here where some are complaining about events and organisers there is only 1 conclusion i can come to:

Not many of you know many/if any of the rules and that applies to both the organisers and the riders.

Yes i have only been involved in competitive cycling for about 5 years but i have tried to make to sure i know some of the rules especially as i was organising events.

There really is very little excuse for anybody not knowing the rules. The rule book is available to everyone on the BC site in both PDF and Word formats and it doesn't take long to print off the section you require.

Maybe it's time some of you/all of you gave it a read.

The Rules... isn't that also a book read by silly girls in their late teens that turns them into cold manipulative bitches?

It seems to me that its obvious to Elaina that we should all sit down with the 300 page doc and read it ad nauseum (sp?).

It is a great and good idea to do so - and I have spent some time looking through it.

Is it really feasible and realistic to do so though?

Nope. The thing that turns silly girls into cold manipulative bitches is 'time'. Luckily the vast majority of grown up women were not that silly as girls.

Men don't read rules, they write them. Which is another reason why rules and instructions are so incomprehensible; the writer can't get any man to proof-read them, and won't listen when a woman does. And he never read any in the first place to learn how to do it.

This is becoming very apparent - so don't complain when you are disciplined in some way for breaking them.
