Schleck - isn't it amazing how good he's being in his first ever Grand Tour? He seems like a modern day version of Greg Lemond - close to going to finish on the podium of his first ever Grand Tour Shocked

plus he's a skinny git which always makes me warm to him Laughing

Rich, of that list which ones aren't skinny Confused

I have to go with Simoni, Di Luca put in a lot of effort yesterday.

Dave Z? I keep hearing that he is in the Giro, but have yet to actually see him.

What was that phrase that Delgado used about guys with 'arses the size of a cows, climbing like aeroplanes' or summat? Like that Guttierez Catalunya in last years Giro.

Piepoli to win the TT.

I sincerely hope so. I've voted for Di Luca though -- it's not that steep a climb, and he's in astounding form with confidence through the roof.

I wish Cunego would find his form and give everyone a good kicking in the final week. But it's not going to happen Sad

The climb in the TT today is the one where Pantani overtook everyone to win in '99 after stopping with a mechanical just before the start of the climb. Also where Ugrumov had Big Mig on the ropes in '93.

ummm, in light of what we know about the Giro in 1999 and Pantani and the team of Ugrumov in 1994, it's not got the greatest of reputations then? Wink

Pantani was rested in the 1999 Giro because he was found to have a haematocrit level of over 50% - not exactly ground breaking news is it?

Yeh Pantani,

Managed to upset both Indurain and Armstrong - one because he wouldn't gift him a stage that he hadn't worked for, and the other because he did Confused
