Going on about the number 13 upside down and finds it very funny.

Bit childish isnt it?

gilbert attacks off the front - duffield says nothing. he doesn't know who he is until it comes up on screen.

duffield is so out of touch, he obviously doesn't really follow professional racing properly as his job dictates.

thing is, i'm not seeing a whole lot of competition for his job, given that david harmon likely cant cover everything, so i guess he might as well continuing sitting there chatting and building his retirement coffers as long as they let him?!

i bet duffield is really interesting to talk to if you have an hour or two spare. but the thing is he is drifting more and more away from commentating and his anecdotes are becoming longer and longer.

it would be nice if eurosport or the history channel gave him a series on great cyclists or something like that where he could share all the great tales and events of the past - a lot of which he was personally witness to.

i feel i have been hard on DD today and would like to apologise if anyone on here knows him. i remember when i first began watching the tour on eurosport in about 1997 DD and roche were great commentators. a great double act, with duffers constantly cutting stephen off mid flow to talk about the wine or building of a given region. Very Happy and roche constantly trying to get the focus back onto the racing Laughing

Bring back David Saunders.

A well modulated voice with a tough of gravitas when required. Cool
