Is it right or wrong to have a team taking up 9 of the 50 available places at the Rapha Nocturne 3rd and 4th race, right as in the rules state its OK and right as in fair. My free end mentioned this to me through a haze of steam and vitriol this morning, hes thinking of launching an all out attack, no not in the race but on the race.In fact hes rucking faging.

Slightly different Stuart, he is girled champ at something and I suppose the one sieving grace is that the team of nine dont always/ever realise theyre part of a hive and when they do they all want to be "Queen for a day".

I wanted to be Queen for a day once too, but it turns out I have no musical talent. Scouting for Girls it is then...

That comment is a bit *itchy or was it a case of not being able to go threw with it. All you need to do is smile for a while, that is ash hooming I picked you up right.

p. s. I heard you blew in a race once , the problem was everyone else says you sucked , how can they tell as it wasnt put up on a website.

I must admit I thought that. 18% of the field are from one team, hardly equal is it but then as the sponsers of that team are sponsers of the race they were hardly goiung to return entries were they!!!

Organiser's discretion, no need to set rules from above. Makes perfect sense if you happen to be running a race in London with a catchment area with a zillion clubs; makes no sense at all if you're running one in Hull where there are about five.

I think the thread is about the support race Lee. The main race fufills the max no of riders from each team allowed under the series regs.

I have no sympathy with an individual rider or a small team. Road racing is a team sport - if you want to enter without a team (or one smaller than everyone elses) then that's your own problem. If you want to cycle as an individual then enter track, cx, mtb etc races.

Whether or not there should be a cap on the number of riders per team in a given event is a completely separate question though. There's a strong argument to say that there should be (say limiting a race to having 6 riders per team) but as has already been pointed out that wouldn't work in areas where there are a limited number of clubs. Again as has already been pointed out, any given event is at the discretion of the organiser - if they want unlimited team sizes then so be it - next time enter with a bigger team yourself!

I dunno what the problem is. Has anyone ever actually seen the Dynorods riding as a team? Laughing

(Team work is my specialist subject by the way) Wink

Yes get a guy in a break of 20 at Hillingdon along with riders the calibre of Coin Roshier and Tony Gibb, then sit on the front blocking / disrupting any chase or attempt to jump across, for their guy to come in 19th. I believe that Aigskowiner are thinking of licencing this move.
