So, it's a cold wet night and in the 50 man sprint you get spectacularly put into the ditch over the bars when someone swerves violently into you from your right hand side 100 yards from the line

Do you?

Consult my lawyer.

Actually, long-distant experience suggests that I chatter cheerfully (my usual shock reaction) to him for the duration of a 20-mile ambulance ride while he groans about his broken collarbone, then his wife makes him give up road racing.

Hunt him down, throw your bike at him and while he's trying to disentangle himself stick the boot in, being careful not to make an ass of yourself by skidding and falling over like Cav did in his Champagne moment.

Deciding to take up the sprinting in the wet for a minor race is up to you but expect to face a few unwanted dangers.

Get over it I say - its just bike racing.

Being missed in the judging for 19th place and just inside the points of a minor chipper is another matter entirely a deserves a quiet word with the judges afterwards. Wink

Attack accidently drop a "stinger" in the road then solo to victory, making a "reeling a big fish" gesture whilst going across the line to raptuous applause.
