Did my first short TT of the year last week. At the end I had that metally taste in my throat, but also kept coughing fluid up. It lasted all evening giving me a bad night's sleep and eased during the following day. Is this normal?

You can get a metallic taste in your mouth when you're pregnant. It's why women go off tea and coffee it makes it worse.

The taste is blood, the reason for the fluid is that you have irritated/damaged the lining of your bronchial tract, and their is excess fluid being created to coat and soothe the damage done.

It will only be minor damage and will repair quickly as mentioned... nothing to worry about. In future try to warm up more fully, but this can't be helped in certain conditions....

Jens Voigt once said that he can tell when he's working hard on the front, because he can taste blood..
