Combination of accidents,

Took a very hard elbow to my ribs playing football, few days later started get really bad pain. Ignored the pain and raced then crashed at the weekend pretty spectacularly.

2 weeks after football and 1 week after my crash and still have pain in my right ribs, and a small lump forming.

Getting to the docters as soon as pos but bank holiday's not helping.

Any experience?

Crashed two weeks ago!

Brusing to left side of back and ribs.

A&E on the day, no interest - looked for lumps and listened to breathing and thats it! No X-ray as no treatment

2 1/2 days off work, three sessions of massage in the week after, am now walking without pain, still difficult to lay on left side!

Haven't tried bike yet, little treat for this afternoon

Maybe a 26 in club 10 tomorrow if I'm lucky

Andy - crashed several years ago and landed on my back (witnessed by Mr Perry among others). Exactly the same experience as you at doctors, turned out they were fractured and took them ages to heal. So basically all you can do is rest up and try not to laugh, cough or sneeze for a couple of months. And avoid sit ups for about a year! Good news is that you should still be able to race through the pain...
