Just had tooth removed today and apart from the horrendous pain that's starting to build up in the side of my head I was told not to do any strenuous excercise for at least 24hrs, as this may breakdown the clot that's formed in the tooth socket.

This dumps on my Saturday training plans a bit, if I'm just out doing a steady ride will I be ok?

Am I just being a bit ghey?

Don't go out. Simple.

If you knock the clot out, you'll bleed and bleed and bleed and drown on your own blood.

Ok, you won't, but you'll get blood everywhere and leave yourself open to infections.

Stay in, watch telly, clean your bike, wänk, f**ksake, its only one or two days you'll miss, if its that critical to your training plan, you are screwed already.......

Not critical to go out no, was just looking forward to only my 2nd road ride since boxing day!

But like you say theres no point risking infecting the socket and ending up on antibiotics and extended pain just for a couple of hours on the bike especially when i'll be out on sunday anyway.

Thanks for the wise words, i'll give the bike a miss for the day.
