He has been known to sniff the odd line, after all...

Gilbert or Pozzato.

Gilbert = the most exciting on day rider at the moment. (along with EBH).

Potato = Would be good to see the Italian champion win on the Via Roma(Do they still finish there?)

dont think evans is riding...

Cav will struggle at the real end of it i think, just doesnt quite have the mile and the top end yet... but then again, its cav and he is a superstar in every sense!

boonen says bennati.... brilliant deflection, i reckon.

eddy BH has to the big favourite, i think.

cancellara can do anything he wants on a bike as he is an animal so....
top 3 no order

eddy BH, cancellara and tommeke!

As evidenced by a quote on cyclingnews.com:
"Cancellara is also critical of the decision to make his Specialized Shiv time trial bike illegal this year.

"It's crazy. The rules in cycling aren't always clear and they often go against the future of the sport," he said.

"Do you remember the ONCE team? They had avant guarde bikes. When people look at the pro bikes, they should go crazy with the desire to have one the same. Anyway, I'd win, even if they give me a steel bike."

Just read the cancellara piece!!!

What a f'in legend.

He would probably smash most people on a steel frame!

I'd pay good money to see that....

Henderson's not riding either.

Ballan is off the radar and has one of the best lead outs for getting off the Poggio

I remember watching Voeckler fight to keep the yellow jersey in the tour a few years ago, he looked just like a kid on a bike with no style but obviously very talented. Then a couple of years ago we watched the GP Plouay over in Brittany which he won on his own by about a minute, now looking a class act in every sense of the word. Smile

Voeckler was mega in that Tirreno stage until it came to the last couple of kilometers and he made mistakes.

Forecast for rain and a shorter run-in after the poggio. Favours a good climber/descender - Sammy Sanchez fits the bill nicely, assuming he doesn't crash out on the descent.
