I've been unable to train since the beginning of February due to an Achilles tendon injury and thought I'd use the time to drop some of the weight I picked up when I was off the bike (and stuffing my face) over the winter.

For the past 6 weeks or so I've been in a deficit of about 350 calories/day and the weight is steadily coming off, but is this likely to mean that it takes me longer to heal?

I don't really know a lot about it but after doing some reading about it after breaking my knee I read that someone with multiple fractures could need up to 6000 calories a day in order to heal properly.

I would guess that any injury would need extra nutrients to help it heal, but I would imagine the way you change your *CENSORED* would depend on what your *CENSORED* was like before the injury.

I would agree with this.
