Now in its second year the Raleigh Avanti RT have started the season in style with 3 wins and numerous podiums in the first few weeks.
With a later than usual start to the season due to a long winter of cyclo cross the teams Ian Wright and Matt Gee have recorded 3 wins so far and are looking to top the 70 wins they achieved in 2009. Road Racing News
Matt Gee in his first senior season has won two races in a row the first being the Yoxall road race where he started a break on the 2nd lap with 12 other riders joining him with the lead at 3 minutes and the bell ringing for the last lap Matt attacked alone to win by over 30 seconds against a strong field. His second win came in the Stan Jones memorial road race held on a rolling course in Shropshire, having won previously Matt was a marked man there were numerous breakaways from riders into the penultimate lap a group of 6 held a 40 second lead, Matt took off alone and crossed the gap getting on just before the climb to the finish he attacked and got a gap on the others and held onto for the win by inches from the fast finishing riders behind
National Youth Champion Sam Lowe competing in the first round of the National Circuit series on the Yarborough course at Lincoln came away from the event with a fine 3rd place against the country's best and a good points tally in this first round. Sam is on the National Youth Development Squad and has been selected to represent his country in a Belgium stage race in the coming weeks.

Mountain Bike News
Veteran rider Ian Wright was the team’s outstanding performer at the first round of the National Mountain Bike Series at Sherwood Pines recently. Starting in the veteran 50+ race Wright took early control of the race and put in some very strong consistent laps to win his event by over 8 minutes and maximum points from this round as he sets out to win the overall series again in 2010.
Other performances on the day came from Elite riders Matt Barrett and Rob Friel who finished 29th and 30th respectively
