Can I just say, I have always liked Mr Landis and his take no prisoners attitude.

It annoys me how L.A. attaches himself to cancer survivors, charities, makes money from guest appearances and all along weve been duped. As I get older, I have seen the suffering people go through with Cancer.... Its about Morals

You would rather he hadn't launched a massive cancer charity?

Its easy to see now... the charity is his avenue for chanelling his guilt... Smile

I think he is potless, hence why he's saying it - they can't sue you for what you don't have.

man of straw.

But he is ginger and everyone knows they can't be trusted!

I respected Armstrong for his first tour win, but things started to go sideways after that, he has given lots of cancer sufferers hope that can never be taken away from him, but his actions, stance and statements on the doping issue have always seemed tainted, taking his treatment of Simeoni as a prime example.

True, in terms of his sporting achievements, but then the surviving the cancer he had when he was give a less than 40% survival chance was the thing that gave people hope.

I along with topskull think he a twat with his pontification re drugs though.

I think I would have been more shocked if he had said Lance rides clean.
It really amounts to nothing though without evidence.

Can we have a "I believe Floyd 2010" T shirt, and a Floyd 2010 fund.

I think I may want to help get this out in the open.

Okay, it's Kimmage, but, well...

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/columnists/paul_kimmage/article4322625.ece

I wonder how he's feeling this morning, betrayed?

Quote:
“Where were you when you heard about the positive test?” I ask.

“I was back home in Boulder.” “How did you hear of it?” “Just like everyone else.” “A news report?” “Yeah.” “What did you think?” “I was totally floored: I was like, ‘Wow! Are you kidding me?’”

(Long pause.) “Go on,” I urge, “keep going. You say you were floored.” “Yeah, I was very surprised.”

“Is that all?” “Yeah, I mean I felt . . . eh . . . I was just very surprised, because it was totally unexpected. It would be the last thing I could ever dream of.”

Landis's ride THAT DAY was still an incredible exploit regardless of whatever else happened.

His chances were 11.4285% less than 40%.

The Michael Barry Landis names and shames there will be the one oft seen now churning along on the front of bunches for squeaky-clean Team Sky. Ooops.

Yeah, because - as he says now - it was HGH he'd taken, not synthetic testosterone...

Class act is Landis... protests his innocence for years, sets up his fairness charity to raise funds from his loyal fans to support his fight for innocence, guess he's drained every last $ he can from that so now to keep himself in the media spotlight he finally *CENSORED* the beans... his church must be proud of him.

If you're gonna lie - might as well make it a big one. I reckon a lot of cancer sufferers have taken a lot of strength from Armstrong's (too schmaltzy for my tastes) books and will continue to do so even if its been clear for some time that he must have been on the juice.

There's nothing in Landis testimony alone that could nail LA on the stict doping test - zero evidence (so far) to corroborate the testimony of someone of "bad character".

Will be interesting to see ASO's reaction on whether or not to invite him to the tour - he was very lucrative for them in the past and I'm sure that it is pure coincidence that L'Equipe (also owned by ASO) only happened to stumble across evdince of his EPO use in 1999 once he had retired from cycling...... Rolling Eyes .

It will also be interesting to see how his major sponsors react - on his own I expect Landis' will simply be faced down by the Armstrong empire as a whingeing loser. This may not be so easy however given what has happened to Tiger Woods. If someone else within the Postal team (say for example another ex-pro who has fallen upon hard times and has little to lose..... Rolling Eyes Wink ) can also give a detailed account of the doping regime within the team this could make life very difficult for Armstrong.
