Hearing Phil and Paul moan about Hincapie deserving the yellow jumper and missing out by 3 seconds in front of his wife and family was nauseating.

As if it was unsporting for a team to ride hard *CENSORED*.
Lackeys.

Riding hard wasn't the problem. The point was that Slipstream were riding simply so Hincapie would not get the jersey, which, since no Slipstream rider was even close was a curious decision.

Makes perfect sense to me, he's pointless

Not so, his company makes excellent kit bags Very Happy

For clowns, yeah

The sense of entitlement at him deserving the jersey, and the idea that he lost it was total BS.
Didn't spanish teams gang up on Peugeot and Millar in the Vuelta? Did he cry about it?

Sticking the helicopter in front of Fignon and behind Moser is still the greatest organised conspiracy against a foreign rider.

Paul Sherwen: Charlemagne pronounced with a very hard 'G'.

Who mentioned entitlement? The point was it would have been a sporting gesture, or an unsporting one as it turned out. Not sure if words such as BS are appropriate though.

That'll be Flemish, then. As in Gerstler, a once truly awful alco-free "beer drink", pronounced with an H for the G.

Phil and Paul seem to be unable to mention that Voeckler's team mate is Black. Gives the impression that they think it might be 'Rac1alist' - as I can imagine Phil saying in his Alan Partridge mode - to mention that he is the first Black guy to ride the Tour.

Yeah, he moaned about his team not wanting to pay for support from other teams wasn't it.
Maybe someone paid garmin to ride against hincapie. Perhaps they did it for lulz. Whatever, Sherwin, Liggett and Hincapie were crying about it as if it has never happened before, in front of the wife and kids and everything. Would never have happened to Larnce.

I know we all take the p1ss out of them, but I have sort of grown into Phil and Paul, and I NEVER thought I would say that, *CENSORED*.
I like the way Sherwen really gets into telling us information from his Google print out about Castles and Churches and stuff - because it is in his contract to do so - with an enthusiasm which you will only find from middle aged ladies who spend their time arranging flowers in a church. And then he hands back to Liggett expecting him to say something which acknowledges all that research, and Phil just ignores it and usually goes into Alan Partidge mode.

anyone yesterday see where Grivko rode off the front of the main peleton and neither of them could work out why, and Paul started quoting from an imaginary handbook of cycling tactics, then Grivo stopped for a p!ss and they tried to get out of the awkward moment with more quotes from the handbook.

absolute comedy classic.

Sometimes annoying, sometimes informative, but always more knowledgeable than me or probably anyone else on here about cycling, and mostly, they are not David Duffield!

David Duffield is a legend, he taught me a lot about French cheeses and wines, as well as keeping me well informed about who was lying doggo.

When is Boardman going to publish his book of sporting pearls of wisdom as used in the Halfords adverts?
