These modern pros have loads of luggage these days, Tone. I mean Sky must have a suitcase for every human quality by now

TBF, listening to them is like dealing with someone who has english as a second or third language, and has learnt it thro the medium of rubbish american films and badly translated advertising bumpf. (Translated from german to "American English" more often than not)

Don't forget the sprinters 'licking their lips' on account of the stage 'being food and drink'

What I really want to ask Paul Sherwin is why he pronounces Europcar as UrrrrroP-Car??

We all know this European Based daily car rental/hire business are simply called Europcar, so why the strange pronunciation?

It’s a real classic listening to Paul and Phil in action – last night Matty Goss got the win according to PS, then the penny dropped, arh Cavendish!

For all the jibes, they do have a might hard job, and they do pretty well at talking utter b0ll0cks for the most part……..

We all love it though!

'lay-o-pard' is the correct pronunciation so they have it spot on. it was an instruction on a press release at the launch of the team that that is how they wished the team name to be said.

I'm not sure moviestar wanted their name to be pronounced mow-vee-star though.

Diversion to Eurosport: Today Sean Kelly was using his classic " During the first numbers of days of this Tour............".
Yesterday, after describing a rider doing 80 km/hr while drafting 3 inches behind his team car, he advised viewers " Don't try this on the road, because the car might suddenly stop......................!" Very responsible attitude.

They don't seem to grasp most of the basic concepts of bike racing. Like today Cav was described as being a long way back. In about 4 or 5 th place behind his lead out train who you would guess would all get out of his way in time.

They are also so obsessed with all things American I am sure Sherwin said Wiggins crashing out was a blow for team Radioshack.

It's real. I think that's their biggest audience. Bloody sounds like it anyway.

when describing where Garmin's headqauerts are, Sherwin turns into one of Harry enfield's characters, saying its in 'pediddlepongypoe, idaho'.

they finally mentioned 'Larnce' last night.

Try and watch them on the a Versus transmission. I watched a stage of the ToC and I couldn't make it past 5 minutes. BTW there were three ad breaks in those 5 minutes.

when Wiggins was on the deck Liggett was going on about Horner on the other side of the road who was stood up - then suddenly woke up and said I'm going to switch to my own nationality for a bit - or something like that - like he would get out of star spangled mode and actually say what is race news - and a UK rider.

French company (originally), French team, French pronunciation...

The real question is, will Phil Liggett ever, just once in his life, pronounce Maillot Jaune to rhyme with own rather than shorn....?

I'm gonna be bruttaly honest here, and say they can do no wrong in my eyes. I find them entertaining, amusing, informative and exhausting all rolled into one.
