I agree...just a shame it's so USA biased this year - but that can be tolerated for free live coverage Smile

What I really want to ask Paul Sherwin is why he pronounces Europcar as UrrrrroP-Car??

We all know this European Based daily car rental/hire business are simply called Europcar, so why the strange pronunciation?

It’s a real classic listening to Paul and Phil in action – last night Matty Goss got the win according to PS, then the penny dropped, arh Cavendish!

For all the jibes, they do have a might hard job, and they do pretty well at talking utter b0ll0cks for the most part……..

We all love it though!

And Leo-pard and instead of Leppard.

'lay-o-pard' is the correct pronunciation so they have it spot on. it was an instruction on a press release at the launch of the team that that is how they wished the team name to be said.

I'm not sure moviestar wanted their name to be pronounced mow-vee-star though.

Movistar is pronouced Mobistar, Muchas Gracias cabron Razz

And you must call me Scale-oe-toreo.

Oddly enough I was just listening to some Day-eff Lay-o-pard earlier, Mrs Bucket.

I always thought the Americans took our Phil/Paul commentary, but according to Ned Boultings book, Phil/Paul are commentating for a US cable company and we actually take theirs. Explains the use of the US bias of recent years....

Most Anglophone nations take P&P's prattle and have local Ned Boultings doing the colour puff stuff.

You'd really think in the year 2011 they'd have been able to stop race radio from 'crackling'

A bit of classic Sherwen from stage 4:

"And he'll sit back now because there won't be any more attacks- oh and there goes another attack!"

I still love their commentary though.

I once saw Phil "voice of cycling" Liggett walking down Fetter Lane (or was it New Fetter Lane? Confused ).

He looked very VERY cross about something.

Don't have ES this summer - missing The Harmonator and King Kelly lots Crying or Very sad
