Its looking like 1989 except instead of constantly attacking each other we have a kind of slow bicycle race.

On the form so far, Evans.

One dull stage and everyone's complaining -- up until yesterday it was good, wasn't it?

Hmm. Reduce team size to 8 or 7, and add 1 or 2 teams?

If they'd gone much quicker, Cav would have been outside time limit Shocked

and the bus would have been let back in.

In 89 there was attack followed by counter none of this slowing right down. The Schleck being brothers is working against them as much as for.

This is just an extension of last year where Andy and Alberto virtually did a track stand and took each other out of the back. Not good.

I voted Cadel because hes best placed and whilst he might lose a little more before the TT I see him being there or there abouts.

I see there's a killer fact on Contadors performance so far published on cyclingnews. He's the only rider in the top 35 who rode the GIRO. I think he's been unlucky and even if he doesnt win I think he's done fabulously. His problem is I'm not sure he can put enough time into Andy to make the difference in the TT.

We shall see, this is defo going to be close because at present the riders are more scared to lose rather than have the balls to win it.

But Cav finished in a group of 7 detached from the main 'Bus', I'm sure that the other teams going for the green jersey would have called for elimination

I voted Voeckler. I know it won't happen, but I'd love the little French constantly-attacking-Joey Williams-lookalike Munchkin to win it, me.

Who would have believed that with a week to go Voeckler would far outweigh Andy Schleck in a poll? It has been a great tour despite that rather dull stage on Saturday ( from a GC perspective)

You say 'slow' but Vandendert's time up Plateau de Beille was only 20 secs slower than Armstrong in 2004

The fascination for me this year is it looks as though there are a few who could make a move, but no one dares do so yet. It's like he who dare's loses.
