Tough stage today for Cav and Rojas says he is going to make life as difficult as he can at the back of the race and try to get Cav eliminated.

Good luck to Cav. Would love to see him do a really good ride today to stick the proverbial finger up!

So good luck to him and all the British riders today.

how exactly will rojas do that, without actually getting in his way and ending up with Renshaw's fist through his face?

He says in the press, if it is correct, that he will try and keep the pace high in the autobus but that would seem hard to influence as most of those guys will be doing their best to get to the finish in one piece just inside the time limit - like Cav.

Cav looked pretty knackered at the end of stage 16, when he came in alone. Theres also been accusations of him being pushed / towed in the mountains, both at the Tour & the Giro, iirc.

Not sure Rojas could influence the disqualification of Cav.

And it's not as if a Spaniard has ever cheated, oh no.

I think it was Eros Poli that everyone relied on to make the time cut in the 90's, he had a great mind for working out the pace required to just make it.

alone and not far behind the race leaders, ahead of Karpets, Casar, Leipheimer, Gesink and Roche.

Looking at his profile on ever-factually correct Wickipedia, Rojas once won a mountains classification in a stage race, so may be a bit handy.
Personally I think it'd be a farce if the winner of the green jersey had never finished higher than 3rd on a stage

Cav and Swifty safely in and another great ride by G. He has been up the at the front on every type of terrain. Must be one of the top performances of the tour from a non team leader.

I would hope he got some assurances from Sky about his role in the team under this new contract of his - team leader in 2013?
