Anyone had these removed?

I'm under the knife soon (general anaesthetic) and was wondering how long to recover fully).

PS...Oscar Friere had this last year and won a classic a month later!!! Shocked

My wife was off work for two weeks but felt fine after 3 days - just keep away from smokey atmospheres. She had it done twice in 17 years.
