Wilko wins national 12 with 302 miles and leads Sunlight to team win, started last man and caught the whole field. _________________ I'm a heartless man at worst babe and a helpless one at best |

Your wasting your time Mr Dock...the clique here are only interested in their type of time trials - 10, 25, 50, 100 and Clintons one horse pony trick hillies!
They aint bothered about someone riding 300+ miles (maybe it's because he's a wirraler or maybe it's because he rides a "MTB"?) |

Wrong on many fronts there SueMac.
1) Most people on here would recognise a fantastic achievement by Andy, indeed most would doff their caps to all who can TT for 12 hours.
2) Hill climb one trick ponies? You sure???? Most hillclimbers are decent roadies and or testers as well.
3) The term you were scratching about for is Wirralean, not Wirraler
there - I have bitten, you must be very pleased with yourself

That's not that impressive. If I was fit enough to equal my 10 PB, and then could do the same again another 29 times, I'd have had him!
I'm sure I read that he only entered because it was local, he is a legend! _________________

Andy is a phenomenal bike rider and all round nice guy. I can't even begin to imagine sitting on a bike for as long as he does without stopping every hour or two for beans on toast and a cup of coffee. Well done mate. _________________ I was being chased by a police dog last week, and made the mistake of trying to escape through a little tunnel, over a see-saw and through a hoop of fire. Actually its Wirralian and Wilko had to be discouraged from riding home after the event.. _________________ I'm a heartless man at worst babe and a helpless one at best |

Talent is never wasted. It belongs to whoever was born with it. It is theirs to do with as they wish. It is nobody else's business. |
Mal, that is true, of course.
But some people see cycling talent not being used in the TdF or whatever is their thing and consider it a waste of that talent. Hard not to have some sympathy for that view? _________________ "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong." H. L. Mencken

Sounds like envy to me. Not that I don't envy for e.g. Ullrich - if I had his legs, you can be damn sure I'd have won the Tour more than once. |
