That course is too long on that map - it starts up the straight a bit more, not at the roundabout. The finish is before the bend at the top.

That's where you're setting off from to give everyone else a chance. Very Happy

He should set off from that main road about 1/2 mile away. That would be fair.

Ivan - startsheet is out, your off 118.
Just like the Rake I have the great pleasure of riding at the end of the event, off 147 Shocked Shocked Shocked . Dan Fleeman riding off 134. Mr C 150 obviously.

Look at all the names around me. KERRIIISSSTTTT.

I'm scared already.

So, is the aim to not get caught by Clinton?

Well that's always the first aim for all my hillclimbs, hold the next man off. Never been caught yet.

If he's chasing me up Cragg Vale on Sunday pm then that stat will change as it's a long one.

If he catches me for 3 minutes in the nationals I'll announce my retirement there and then as he passes by getting off my bike and giving it a touch of the Millar/Wiggins treatment.

Hopefully a finish in the top 3rd of the pile for me, don't think top 25 do-able, but we'll see. I seriously have no idea as the hc season I think sees a bit of a north south split and I don't recognise many of the southern riders, but know of most of the northern participants and can think "he'll beat me" etc.

It will be a good contest but I think Matt can retain the title.

I know you are, and I recognise names like Pete Tadros and Tejvan so theres 3 southern lads who'll do well.

None from me Dan. I reckon it will be pretty tight and I am too stingy to risk even a fiver either way! Laughing
Good to see you supporting the nationals.

Just got back and i can safely say the weather was awful.
Its started bad and gradually got worse, pretty grim for the last riders.
