The road from East Bridgford to the A46 is closed, Could be closed for up to 2 months. You can't get through on a bike.

Alternatives routes are turning left at the top of Trent Lane, by the church, and going through Kneeton. This means doing about half a mile on the A46 to Flintham. Or you can go up the main A6097 from Gunthorpe, then up the A46.

Short term pain for long term gain I suppose.

I'm surprised they haven't made better provision for cyclists in the interim, given the popularity of this route.

The provision made for cyclists by replacing the A52 cycle path that has been destroyed is not exactly brilliant so expecting any for the non cycle pathed roads is a non starter unfortunately.

looks like lots of alternative routes when completed, no more taking your life in yer hands as you go from East Bridgford to Car Colston, or crossing to Cropwell Shocked Very Happy
