Thoresby Circuit Races Sunday 27/03, 03/04 and 24/04/11

After a successful first year of events at Thoresby Courtyard in Nottinghamshire racing returns this Spring with 3 days of racing for Youths as well as 3rd and 4th Cats being promoted by the Retford CC. Each days racing will provide 2 events the first a short sharp dash to stretch the legs and learn the circuit followed by the appropriate full length event later in the day. The dates for the diary are 27/3, 3/4 and 24/4.

The full circuit is challenging with a deceptive uphill stretch on narrow estate roads followed by a long sweeping descent into a couple of sharp bends before a short sprint uphill to the finish, the U12's will be using a smaller circuit, but all the finish line action will take place in front of the magnificent Thoresby Hall. Thoresby Park is a fantastically picturesque venue with plenty of space and things to do for all the family between races making it a great day out for everyone, dogs are welcome as long as they are kept under control. There is also a grade 2 listed courtyard which has shops, a gallery and plant centre.

These events are supported by the Stonebridge Trust who manage the Thoresby Courtyard and the park and provide the venue and support for a very nominal charge, Newark and Sherwood District Council who are providing some young volunteers as well as Science in Sport and Bridgegate Cycles who are contributing some prizes.

PLEASE NOTE - Rider numbers will be limited to 40 so it is recommended that you get your entries in early. The first race will start at 10.30 with the circuit open for riding at 10am , dedicated free parking will be signed and available on the circuit, please do not use the gallery courtyard car park.
