Beeston CC Crit at Giltbrook, 10th July 2011

Beeston CC (not RC) have been in discussions with Broxtowe Borough Council and British Cycling for a while now planning a 'Festival of Cycling' evening on 10th July at The Giltbrook Retail Park (Ikea/Decathlon/Next/etc). Interest and sponsorship is growing and we discussed the format of the event given the level of support. The evening will probably now consist of:

6.00: Under 12
6.30: Under 16
7.00: 1 lap open 'Time Trial' - fastest times win
8..00: E/1/2/3 Race (NB THIS MAY BE CHANGED TO CAT 4/3 - see below)

Given the support and potential size of the crowds it is hoped to have an exciting main race.

There will be plenty to see with a max output in 6 seconds on a Wattbike challenge, British Cycling Information and display, trade tents, bmx etc. Hopefully quite literally something for all the family.
