This is one of THE great feats of human endurance.
Wonder how many top continental pros could do this. _________________ And the senses being dulled are mine. |

You are avin a laugh, Wilko beat Warnock by 24 miles, I make that 1 mile per hour faster over the day, Wilko had lapped warnock and passed him and Warnock stupidly believing he wasn't all that far down on Wilko, used Wilko as a pace rider then overtook him, was then sent on a different leg to Wilko to seperate them and was then soundly thrashed by Wilko. How very dare you insinuate such a thing.... _________________ I'm a heartless man at worst babe and a helpless one at best |

So Wilko would have been an hour in front on the road or, another way, 5% faster give or take over the full distance. That's some whupping. _________________ I was being chased by a police dog last week, and made the mistake of trying to escape through a little tunnel, over a see-saw and through a hoop of fire. I've just checked : 18,437 top Continental pro's could beat Wilko's distance , Beryl Burton could too if she weren't dead _________________ Kto nie startowal w Wyscigu Pokoju , ten nie wie , co to jest prawdziwe kolarstwo szosowe.

Names please.
Beryl started in the Mersey RC 24hr one year but packed (apparently with bad knees) when about 20min up on the nearest male competitor (Wilko weren't riding then). _________________ Mal Firth

What p's me off is the Guiness Book of Records in it's wisdom doesn't even have Wilko's last record at the greatestt distance cycled in one day. It really is a load of rubbish nowadays. _________________ Bally: Putting the @rse into Grass.
