I actually quite like Martin.
There would be another on my list. (not PNuT!)

i've never noticed either as "big egos". yes, they moderate from time to time but they're moderators _________________ That was me not logged in. |

I had noticed a slight anti-modorator posting or two from you over on the TT forum...
What's happened to change your mind?

i complained about the silly black tie entry system (or whatever it was) not the moderators themselves. _________________ That was me not logged in. |

Sorry, yes I remember now - but that was imposed as a result of the workings of a few spoiling it for the rest. Some sort of control on the matters had to be done (it isn't a favouritism BTW - just common sense.).

I don't think either of them are that bad - I was only guessing.
As an ex-mod I think you can't win, some of the shyte that was on this board in the pre-no guest days was just there to be wiped off, but then people moaned. If you left it in place, people moaned. And you're not allowed an opinion apparently, which is why I stepped down, after getting a rather sh1tty email and pm on the same day from a pair of tossers.
I still get stuff deleted now, doesn't bother me cos the mods on here don't crow about how super they are, unlike the testers mods (some of them, Thomo, I can live with you)(figuratively speaking). |

The CTT moderation is overdone and subjective, the moderation on here is brutal! I started a thread on here a few days ago about *CENSORED* in sport, after reading a letter on the subject in CW. It lasted about 5 minutes before being 'modded' to nowhere! So no, you can't talk about what you want on here either. |
Bang on. So we are all agreed that the Time Trialling Forum (CTT) is easier going as there were at least three threads on the subject that went to over 500 posts. They were spread over weeks - so a lot more than the 5 minutes on here.
What I cna't understand is all the whining from those who say VR is a lot easier going.......

i believe the reason it was removed is people may have found the thread title offensive....
i have checked with admin & it appears they are happy for you to discuss the subject!!
abusive/offensive posts will be removed in the usual manner _________________ PNuT, who could forget PNuT

I asked the mod concerned why he deleted the thread, this is his reply:
NOT THE TITLE NAME BUT THE CONTENT
Its not just down to me, I am only one moderator.
This subject received complaints last time, could se the same happening again so had to ask another mod to delete it because I dont mod rights on TT section which it should not have been in anyway. |

Blollox Claire - those threads on the CTT site were in the good old pre-Techno days. How long would they last now eh?
So we all agree the CTT forum was better before it was handed over, thats a better generalisation. |

Yes, there is a bit of an old school RTTC anorak mentality over "there". There's always talk about "fast" courses. "Where's a fast 25 in the north" and crap like that.
If you speak up and encourage people to do hilly or sporting courses you get slagged off.
TTing is going to disappear up its own ar$e if we don't get some new blood into the sport!
Newcomers tend not to give a shi-ite about standard distances and "fast" courses - they want the challenge of racing hard. They are forced to do a "fast" course once every 3 years just to be sure of getting entries wherever and whenever they want. _________________ I don't enjoy golf. BAN IT. |

Seem to be lasting fairly well, Tim. If I have anything to do with it it will last as long as sensible people wish to post to it.
I suppose the problem the VR Mods have is a far higher percentage of members who post for effect rather as part of a discussion. |
