Long Eaton, Beeston etc...

Anyone know if/when they are on? Always good value form testers at this time of year...

And a good, fun bash out into the hills Very Happy

Someone told me today that Beeston is 2 weeks from this weekend - don't know any more than that.

Hey up, it's been a few years since I've experienced the winter suffering of a good reliability trial, where does the Ashfield one start and where's it heading?

Do I need my winter bike, map, compass and hip flask or is the norm now carbon fibre, aero rims and pulsemeters?

Cheers Wink

Animal - talking this morning most people reckon it's a week today (first Sunday in Feb) 9.30 at the old Post Office near Long Eaton station - nobody was certain though so I'd make a few calls to check that before turning up.

The "Ashfield one" is not a reliability trial but the club's Winter Youth Hostel Weekend. Open to members of other clubs; you need to contact Richard Birkin in advance and pay your Youth Hostel Fees as he needs to pre book accomodation. Popular social weekend with bag transport and bike/rider recovery, somewhat over dramatised by Animal (but he does tend to over dramatise most things anyway). Only Richard knows the route but it will be mostly in the Peak District.

My most humble apologies , Nigel. As a small token I will loan you ,free of charge, my trailer so that you can tow your bags along on this year's run.

I've just grovelled to the missus for the weekend off, and sent my cheque off to Mr. Birkin, so I'll be there!

I'm assuming the LE RR is this Sunday. Sherwood are taking a posse along to ride it, so even if we find no Long Eaton club there, we're going to ride to Newhaven and back!

See you there at 9:30!
