I agree with you Rhys, but you we haven't done that much in the past four years to get anyone up to that level. I took my sister to be tested at Newport in 2004 by the WCU. I know she is a fit girl (no smirking Rhys) and will have done slightly better than average on the test. Regardless, they said they would be in touch with feedback whatever the result. Didn't hear anything. I phoned quite a few times, and it's not like they didn't know me or her from Adam.
So there we go. It's not like they tried to foster the relevant support and failed, they just didn't bother. In light of Sunday's race, where do you think the money was best spent? Sending the men around the world to get fit enough to DNF or try to build a modest team to help Nicole?
I include myself in the men who were sent everywhere for little or no end result. |
Your sister looks like Adam |
I've got some pics from dormgirls.com. Does not look like a bloke at all. Their cousin looks even better.
In all seriousness, PB's sister is a brilliant cross country runner so her general fitness should have been noticable. And before people start harping on about specificity, the session arranged was a part of a scheme to find talent from other sports. Bit of a loss really as she could have used PB's bikes. He ain't bloody using them |
Why the hell would I want to ride a bike??? |

Known to do that. Drive to the pub, get smashed, bike out of the boot, cycle home, cycle back before parking warden turns up. Sorted. _________________ "so if MM wants to suck down 16mg unfiltered tar-laden cancer-causing , he will! Being a fell runner didn't seem to slow Yvonne McGregor down. _________________ Bally: Putting the @rse into Grass.

Has to be Hayles for his comments in the press, plus his lead out in the 20km. _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

It's a no-brainer - Ross Edgar got gold, silver and bronze. |

Was thinking about this earlier. As Queally hasn't polled any votes and a few other riders have 1 or 2 votes, if I get 4 messages from different people asking for a particular rider I'll ask the mods if they can stretch the poll. _________________ "so if MM wants to suck down 16mg unfiltered tar-laden cancer-causing , he will! And Michael Hutchinson: 4th (and top British rider) in the time trial was superb, and 6th in the pursuit wasn't too bad either. _________________ John McClelland's victory in the motor paced event with Derek Marloe on the derny was a thing of beauty (Oldmanof)

As I say, if you haven't already voted, PM me a name you would like included. _________________ "so if MM wants to suck down 16mg unfiltered tar-laden cancer-causing , he will!
