East Midlands Div RR Map of course has just been added to the Scunthorpe Poly website, http://www.scunthorpepoly.co.uk.
We will be looking for some more helpers and marshalls on the day. They will be provided with food and drink on the day. Remember without this type of support this event will not go ahead.
My email is anthonypearson@aol.com, if you are willing to support the race in anyway.
The list of riders will be posted on the Scunthorpe Poly website or veloriders only. Ten entries at the moment and counting.

The course profile is flat, flat, flat this year. I think there is a 2 metre climb round the forest area, you then go down hill for 14 miles. I have some 56 chainrings for sale for those who wish to create a break-away group.

On the ordnance survey map, not even one contour line crosses any part of the course. The 10m one does come perilously close at one point though. |

will be a good race, very quiet roads, train round there a lot, flat it may be but if it's windy it can be really tough on the river bank _________________ lector benevole absit invidia

Both Steve Parsons and myself had a ride round the course on Sunday. The roads are quiet and have a reasonable surface. If it is windy there will not be much shelter but the forest section will give riders a bit of a break. Some long straights as well, so break-away groups will still be in sight for a while. The best bit is there is limited traffic in this area and thats why we have gone for this course. Hopefully we should all have a good day. Entries starting to come in now, will keep you informed of the riders nearer the date. Could do with a few motorcycle marshalls though. If anyone would like to help, email me, anthonypearson@aol.com!

i will be in charge of the sag wagon, if you hear the cockerel noise then you know youve been dropped
its a good course for pie men no hills but those pie men will have to look out for the puma thats been spotted in the forest, they could end up in a tin of kittykat |
