as there hasn't been much support for womens events of late, we need to know from ladies only - are you posers or do you really want to race? if so, what events do you want - if any?

sensible suggestions only please....

Just thought i'd put my answer on here as well as on the main forum.

Quote:
You really want to know - OK.

I want guys to take womens cycling seriously - and yes I know you're all trying to.

I want to see more races have a womens cat included so that it doesn't matter how many/few women turn up the event will still happen. OK so some women don't like riding with men, fine, have the womens race start earlier and on the same circuit but with a different finish loop so that the womens finish doesn't cut into the mens race. I'm sure this could work if the mens race was long enough and the womens start was sufficiently earlier than the guys. Also they would get the support from the crowd who turn up to watch the men.

If the idea is to have more women only races - I'm sorry but forget it As we have seen all too often not enough women enter - why - many reasons i guess and as I don't race I can't answer the ' why don't you enter' question. As to why don't i race - still trying to sort out a problem knee.

So there you go.

Pity there hasn't been a bigger response from the ladies.
