How are they all going to fit into one four bedroom house? |

Would surely rely on hanging onto the coat-tails of stronger teams though. |

Of course they could ride, the real question is how many would finish and the answer is unlikely to be greater than 1. Sorry to be so downbeat but I think that is a realistic assessment. |

On reflection a couple more could get round the 'easiest classic' Gent Bubblegum. |

Personally, 2 would finish. But i suppose as in all the classics, the suicide break for TV time is also the sought after prize, i mean thats what gets the sponsor coverage too right? that said, they have a few guys who could really pull that off well. you still gotta be a strong rider to evenattempt it. _________________ If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from? |

Well obviously Nico is the one we agree on cos he has got the t-shirt. I think Hamish is the next most likely - is that your second? |

I would have thought Mattan would have the nous to make use of the other teams. At the end of the day if a rider gets into an early break and spends an hour on TV it would probably be more important to the sponsor than a top 10 placing. |

exactly, thats why 2 would finish while the rest headed for prime time tv coverage. _________________ If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from? |

No STAFF/NICK, Artic Monkey is nothing to do with me so maybe you should try again as to the identity, possibly another disgruntled ex rider, and you should think more carefully, yet again, before you go throwing accusations around! |

Evan Oliphant to win Het Volk!!!!
[the above statement is 'tongue and cheek' and not to be taken seriously. Smiley with shades was abit obvious i know. If you have taken it seriously then i wish you well in your own serious world]
Good Luck to all the team in 2007!!!!! _________________ www.braveheartfund.com

Mate, I admire your enthusiasm but get real! Winners of Het Volk either have a proven track record of wins or at least top placings in classics, semi-classics. Unfortunately Evan has neither. |

I don't understand why people are putting the team/riders down before the season even begins?
It's good to see a British team trying to make it, good luck to them. |

Riding is one thing, winning another, but for a fledgling team with higher aspirations, I have nothing but admiration for the riders and staff.
It won't always go to plan, as has already been proven, but so long as the will is there to succeed, great things could happen.
Good luck and good fortune to all of them. |

Because Dougal, many of us on here have the knowledge to comment on this team given past experiences and treatment, and having compared notes it seems nothing changes. |

Ah, but aren't you forgetting that with Mattan's "motorised" assistance,
a few more might make it !!

My heart says yes, but my head says I don't have a clue about two thirds of the riders in the squad.
Mattan would not have a problem and you would expect that Hamish would get round comfortably.
After that - a belgian classic would be a huge step up for Evan and Dan Fleeman.
Daniel Lloyd might surprise a few people. He had a superb season last year riding consistantly well in some long stage races, but 260k against Pro Tour riders is a tough call. |
