so there you are, middle of winter, SUnday club run and your mind starts wandering off into the distance - "wonder what the cafe will have on the menu?"

I'm waiting for Tis' reply, I heard the cafe had to shut because he ate and drank all they had. _________________ "Train?! Training is for people with no natural ability!" |

It used to be a cooked breakfast when I stopped at the Wellsbourne cafe.
Club I'm with at the moment doesn't seem to like stopping at a cafe for some reason _________________ Murphy's Third Atmospheric Law of Bike Commuting is that the headwind you encounter on the way to work will shift 180 degrees in direction about 10 minutes before you decide to home. |

They saw what a cooked breakfast did for you and thought better of it! _________________ John McClelland's victory in the motor paced event with Derek Marloe on the derny was a thing of beauty (Oldmanof) |

Last summer I rode to the Lakes from Leeds, now I'm an old git and usually ride less than 3 hours. Got to Staveley with about 15 miles to my final destination and I was on my knees.
A friendly face directed me to Wilfs cafe next door to Wheelbase bike shop, I had the best cycling cafe stop ever, bacon salad sandwich and chips, two cups of tea. I was as full as a fat birds knickers. Although bloated I floated the rest of the way to Grasmere. _________________ http://www.kennedyimages.co.uk |

Margarets at Redmile used to do 'pizza on toast' i.e a doorstep of white toast, tinned tomatoes and a load of cheese on top.
Just no comparison. |

I've voted other as mine is a bacon sandwich, without the egg. Nice, almost burnt, thick slices of bacon dripping with fat best eaten in some greasy spoon café with bare wooden tables and benches! 2nd place is sausage sandwiches in the same café. You've got me drooling now so I'm off to catch the ferry. |

We used to dream of cafe stops. All we had was a disused cafe without a roof, walls or cafe. It was just a hole in the ground filled with rotting fish.
But my fav would have been spam, spam, spam cheese and spam. Or spam, spam, spam, spam egg beans and spam followed by double spam and spam. Classic! |
