Who gives a f*%£ anyway its meaningless dross on TV. Just a load of backslapping creeping and ar5eholeing. I'd rather watch repeats of dads army. Oooh its voted for by the public.... Yes the public who are stupid enough to fork out on phone calls to premium rate phone lines and text services. Probably the same d1cks who vote on big brother
As for Nicole Cook winning it, theres more chance of Norman Cook winning it.

No they don't. I pestered them last year, and we got Geoff Thomas as a winner. _________________ 't Ros Beijaart.

I think you'll find that it's all cut and dried previously. That public voting sham on the night is a scam.
How come they conjure up all the right bits of film to use eh? _________________ 't Ros Beijaart.

Walliams unfortunately. Great achievement but swimming the channel is not sport is it? You may as well give it to someone doing a sponsored walk. And I bet there are other poeple who have done it this year as well. Will they be recognised? |
Less people have swum the Channel than have climbed to the top of Everest - it took him 10hrs *CENSORED*!
What he did is fairly hard-core, it's just that because he's a comedian people haven't taken what he's done seriously.
He retorted to Sean Lock's p1ss taking on 8 out of 10 cats on Channel 4 recently with "is what I'm doing making you feel less of a man?" |
The time it takes folk to swim the channel is down to the currents, the day that he did it they were very favourable. A few of a mates work colleagues did it as a relay, My mate is a triathlon and he had been swimming with them and said they were poor and he's no Ian Thorpe. The first time they tried they got within 2 miles of the coast and then spent an hour getting dragged back out so had to knock it on the head. The next year I think they did it in nearly 11hrs and that year they where no fitter than the previous year. Though not taking it away from Williams it was a top draw effort. |

It is the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, which does not mean that it is for the best sports performance. It also ensures that only televised sports can produce the champion as it is almost impossible to become a major personality in the eyes of the voting public without having been on TV. The voters are all TV viewers.
So the only hope for cycling is when/if a British rider wins the Tour de France, the only cycling event regularly shown on TV and given a good amount of Press coverage.
My guess would be Zara Phillips if she wins the world evening title which I think I read is on this year, Murray if he does well in the US Open, or Panasar, but I don't think there is any international cricket involving England before the voting in December for him to shine in. When do the Tests start against Australia?
Anybody winning anything in late November always has a good chance. |

Pierre claims the credit all for himself as usual. I'm sure that it was the weight of pestering from a lot of people who read about the coverage and saw the Tv progs that did it. It was a team effort... |

Indeed some of it was, but I instigated the proceedings as soon as Geoff did the 'impossible feat'.
We've been through the Helen Rollason award before, and I started it.
I'm not going through the history again, as most VR's already know this.
The award will now never be disbanded.
