Stupid, outdated 'sport'. The sooner events are decided on points and the headbangers place more weight on positions than times the better. |
OK - so we consider Mr A Dowsett on his performances since Jan 1 2009. One win in a field of 31, and two DNS. How many points would that give? |

Not true - if you enjoy enforcing the rules to the letter you'll have a massive STIFFIE at these proceedings. |

But it's not an approved course, no-one has walked round it with one of them clicky wheely things to measure it. AND i bet the timing kit wasn't RTTC approved either, tcha, race organisers these days, they've got NO idea. |

Didn't start next to either (a) drain cover 100yds from 5 bar gate or (b) lamppost number NX3419. At 5:00am in the morning. Instant DQ _________________ World Masters Drive HillClimb For Taureans Category C Champion 2013.

I need to stop riding TT's cos this and the other thread are contributed by people that either can't read simple things like dates, don't understand the rules and don't understand (want to ignore) that there is a process to change them.
MTFU peeps. The rules have to be applied fairly. You can't change the rules mid season. If you want some kind of wild card system then propose and advocate one at your DC meeting and get it on the ballot paper of the AGM. Simples.
Its the way we got the reseve system so can be done.
I'd love to have seen Alex and Tong Gibb ride but if they can't comply with the rules or forget that they have a qualifying time then there's not much that can be done. |

Agree with all of that, but it seems that the view of some is that the rules are fine as they are, which I can't agree is in the best interests of testing. _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

Get off your 'rse and represent your club at London West DC AGM, and propose the appropriate motion then. _________________ John McClelland's victory in the motor paced event with Derek Marloe on the derny was a thing of beauty (Oldmanof) |

So if you are not bothered about doing exactly as suggested by John, then you are presumably happy to see the regulations unchanged? If you are not happy with them unchanged (as you seem to imply), then the course of action has been presented to you. Your choice. Do nothing and in effect you endorse no change.

Just because he thinks something is wrong, it doesn't mean he's going to get up off his ar$e and do anything about it. Which is why there are still starving children in the world - GOD BLESS APATHY! |
