Long downhill on Wednesday after the Galibier. There'll be a regrouping down the Lautaret, it's a bomber descent. _________________ I don't enjoy golf. BAN IT. |

Well according to the form book, Lance should attack on the climb to Courchevel having had an armchair ride from his team all the way to the base and decimate the peloton.
All bets are off now though!
Tomorrow's stage could be equally exciting. Ballon d'Alsace and Grand Ballon. Two hard climbs. If T-Mobile are determined to shake things up it could be a good day's viewing. _________________ I don't enjoy golf. BAN IT. |

Not convinced T-Mobile are riding as a team. Kloden did LA a favour today. His attack took all the pressure off. Much better to have Kloden dangling 10 secs off the front than to have to keep chasing Vinokourov. |

I agree, just think how exiting it would have been if Vino and Jan were playing the 1-2 |

Thinking about it though, it was the last climb of the day. The team didn't absolutely have to be there. I don't think we can read too much into it.
Ullrich looked good though, he seemed to respond to accelerations more easily than in previous years.
The French TV production wasn't up to much though. I didn't see any moto pictures from the Armstroing group on that last climb, and that was what we should have been seeing. We should have had the moto dropping back scanning that group to see who was there. We had to try to pick them out from the helicopter shot. _________________ I don't enjoy golf. BAN IT. |

Discovery are bluffing! I dont see how strong riders like Azevedo/Popovych et al, would be dropped on a climb like that after doing nothing all day! (well only 230k- but you get what i mean!) |

Yes Discovery are definitely bluffing, this is the one bluff/game the team hasn't yet played in the TDF. Lance's last "coup de theatre".... _________________ The flash-in-the-pan |

Very good ride from Cadel Evans though, now that he's finally started the TdF. |

Lance, all the way. He might lose the jersey, but he'll be wearing yellow in Paris. I'll give him some tips when I see him next week in the Alps. |
I'll look out for you Mr Bell. Me & t'other half will be at the summit of Galibier on Wednesday. I may, or may not be rather drunk...& may or may not have a Badger strapped to my head! Looks like we'll be camping out on the mountain the night before. I'm taking a fleece & a large amount of pastis... _________________ The right to bear arms is slightly less ludicrous than the right to arm bears. (Chris Addison)
