It has always been a good club run with large numbers and thoughtful riding making it a safe group to ride in.

There always has and always will be opinionated riders and when not in cycling kit are also respectful humans as well.

They dont like us! but for the sake of other people if anyone has a problem with the place dont go!!! Simple.

Traditionaly there alwys has been a cafe stop and its good fun!

Hopefuly we can still continue to go there despite our weird ways

From an outsiders perspective, I have never been on a parrot run but been travelling in the opposite direction to you more than a few times, also had the displeasure of being in sedgebrook at the same time as you.

All over the road rabble who apparently have very little regard for other road users as they feel they have safety in numbers, just the way to endear car drivers- err not, always some poor soul miles out the back looking hopelessly lost, not a good introduction to club cycling really.

Then in the cafe, way too many of you - take the place over typically buying 1 cup of tea between 3 of you, whilst openly eating your own food.
What the F do you expect? I am not suprised they sent you away with a flea in your ear, somehow they still welcome certain other clubs with open arms why is that?
Sort yourselves out, get some responsible ride captains, talk to the cafes, stagger arrivals, hey presto everyone will be happy, hardly rocket science is it?

I have a glass of tap water and eat my own food, before wringing my sweaty gloves, hat and vest on the floor. I then belch and swear, telling lots of rude jokes loudly to intimidate other cafe users and the staff. At the end of the day that's what Saturdays are for. Rolling Eyes

What a cracking business plan that would be to cater for the likes of your average cyclist! £40 spent between 30 cyclists!!

Doesn't seem bad to me £40 to make 30 weak brews. It would be £40 lost as I guess the cyclists aren't exactly keeping away loads of other customers. You would need 8 customers coming in and spending £5 each to make up for that loss. Is that likely?

I notice in this week's CW that Dean Dowining has a cafe stop on his Friday ride. Are Dave Wilkes etc going to tell him the error of his ways?

If a cafe stops OK for Deano, it's OK for us.

I wonder if Deano offers the cafe staff outside. Wink
